ROCK FORMATIONS

This park has a special rock formation. I want to let the public explore my interpretation of this landscape. By placing the sculptures on the path I want to encourage the public to contemplate this natural treasure, rest, and use all the senses to enjoy the day and night skies.

Minerals and Rocks are quite intriguing to me because their physical properties are very different from other materials and elements on the planet. Some Minerals in their crystal form can produce negative ions under certain conditions such as when heated or put under pressure, this phenomenon is known as Piezoelectricity.  Some crystals can also generate light when applied pressure or when exposed to a sudden change in temperature. Crystals and Minerals do not belong to any animal kingdom but share some of their properties.
