HIGHER LANDS DIORAMA

Lichens form through a symbiotic relationship between fungi and either algae or cyanobacteria, where fungi provide protection and nutrients while photosynthetic partners generate carbohydrates. Moss ecosystems are closely related to lichens, creating a moist environment essential for their growth by retaining water and providing a substrate for attachment. Moses also contributes to soil formation and nutrient cycling, supporting diverse organisms. This collaboration illustrates the importance of mutual dependence for survival and adaptation.  The installation is made with recycled metal, recycled rope, and recycled textiles.

All the fabric is repurposed material donated by Yee Chain International Co.
