EL CORTEJO

El Cortejo is a series of videos inspired by the mating dances of paradise birds. Dancers study these natural movements, select locations, and adorn themselves with personalized body paint before performing in silence, responding only to the sounds and rhythm of the environment. Recorded and later edited, the videos prioritize body language and spatial dialogue, with music added only as a subtle accompaniment. Each performance is unique, never repeated, capturing the moment when dancers fully surrender to their animal instincts.
