HOKKAIDO WATER DRESS
This is the hot spring resort in Hokkaido, Japan. The water flows out from the depths of the forest, carrying the Earth's temperature, and moves quietly along the stream. We picked up pine tree branches and weaved a pentagonal structure on a section of the river. The woven form floats gently on the water, like a garment tailor-made for the river. Warm spring water flows below, and white water vapor rises slowly. The geometric order and natural flow intersect here. The work does not cover the scenery, but follows the water and stream, covering this space with a temporary and unique dress that belongs only to this place.
“This installation and its construction methods are original artistic expressions developed by Lua Rivera & Lee Kuei-Chih.”
