SILK COCOONS

Silk Cocoons, 2019. Cotton rope, wood, grass, and flowers. Guandu Nature Park, Taipei, Taiwan. 18m(L) X 10m(W) X 3m(H)

The installation provides a temporary shelter for humans and plants while mimicking the shape of moth cocoons.  The structure changes as it disintegrates, allowing animals and insects of the park to collect and reuse the silk threads for their own shelters.
